IF A TREE FALLS

The Life and Art of Del Kinyon

The Documentary

For nearly ninety years, Dell Kinyon Taylor spent his life making.

Not for fame.

Not for recognition.

Not for an audience.

He simply continued.

A painting became another painting.

A collection became another collection.

A room became another room.

Over time, an ordinary life produced something extraordinary.

Then, for the most part, it remained unseen.

Hidden within a Utah home sits the evidence of a lifetime.

The documentary asks a simple question:

What happens when a person spends nearly ninety years creating something the world never knew existed?

At its heart, this is not a film about art.

It is a film about time.

About devotion.

About perseverance.

About the things we choose to do with the years we are given.

And about what happens when one life leaves behind more than anyone expected.

In Development

The project is currently in development and proof-of-concept production.

Led by a 5 time emmy award-winning producer, the film is being built through ongoing research, interviews, documentation, and discovery.

Like the house itself, the story continues to reveal new details.

New photographs.

New documents.

New memories.

New questions.

Each adding another piece to a life that was far larger than it first appears.

Follow The Journey

The documentary remains in active development.
